The 2025 Shanghai Motor Show didn’t exactly overflow with motorsport-ready metal, but one standout creation caught everyone’s attention — the Nio Firefly Rally Car.
Based on the upcoming Firefly five-door supermini, which is already confirmed for the Chinese market and possibly headed to Britain, the rally-spec version takes the platform to extreme new levels.
Visually, the Nio Firefly Rally Car is as dramatic as they come. It retains only the signature tri-lamp clusters from the base model, and everything else screams motorsport aggression.
The Nio Firefly Rally Edition is expected to pack serious performance, rivaling even the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 and Hyundai i20 N Rally1.
The standard Nio Firefly is expected to debut in China by mid-to-late 2025 with a price tag of approximately ¥120,000 – ¥160,000 CNY (around £13,000 – £17,000 GBP or $16,000 – $22,000 USD).
Nio has already confirmed intentions to expand Firefly to Europe, with the UK market under serious consideration.
