Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold 5G: Google is gearing up to unveil its latest flagship lineup at the “Made by Google” event on August 20, where the much-anticipated Pixel 10 series will be officially launched. However, eager buyers of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold 5G may need to wait a little longer. According to a new report, the foldable variant of Google’s upcoming smartphone lineup won’t be available for purchase until October 9, 2025—nearly two months after its unveiling.
Pixel 10 Series to Launch in Two Phases?
This year’s Pixel lineup is expected to include four models:
- Pixel 10
- Pixel 10 Pro
- Pixel 10 Pro XL
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold
While all four are set to debut on August 20, Google may stagger the availability of these devices. As per a WinFuture report, only the non-foldable models will be available for pre-orders immediately following the launch, with general sales beginning on August 28. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, alongside other new wearables such as the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a, is reportedly part of a second release wave coming in October.

Supply Chain Issues Delay Foldable and Wearables
The reason behind the delayed availability of the foldable model appears to be supply chain challenges, particularly concerning new components. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is said to feature a redesigned hinge mechanism, a new display, and Qi2 wireless charging support. It will also reportedly come with an IP68 rating, making it water- and dust-resistant.
Integrating these new hardware advancements is proving to be more time-consuming than initially planned, contributing to the delayed retail launch. The same issues seem to be affecting the availability of the new Pixel Watch and Pixel Buds as well.

What to Expect from the Pixel 10 Series
Despite the delay, the Pixel 10 lineup is shaping up to be one of Google’s most powerful yet. All models are expected to be powered by the next-generation Tensor G5 chipset, reportedly manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process. Users can also look forward to enhanced camera systems, refined design, and new AI-powered features, aimed at keeping Google competitive in the flagship smartphone segment.
While the wait for the foldable Pixel may disappoint some fans, the rest of the Pixel 10 series should still generate plenty of excitement when it hits shelves later this month.
